Austin House
The Austin’s purchased this 1920’s Federalist style home located in the Montrose area of Houston, Texas. After their previous home flooded after Harvey, they envisioned this new place to be their forever home. We decided to make it their own by fully renovating every room. Our client loves the French country and American revival design, and having lost almost everything in the flood, the very few remaining undamaged pieces of furniture we were able to work into this Federalist Montrose Maison. Our goal was to make a cozy luxurious transitional interior design that incorporated all of the pieces they love, functional to their lifestyle and to match the architecture of the home.
Richey House
The Richey’s purchased this stunning home located in the Heights of Houston, TX. This 1920’s bungalow was in great condition and needed a touch of decorative styling. Our vision was to create the ambiance of masculine, modern mid-century design. We layered different textures and combined rich colors to keep the space feeling warm, and allow more interest and depth. The goal for the kid’s rooms was “sophisticated, yet fun.” We wanted them to be able to grow and be themselves in a timeless space. Currently the master bedroom is still in progress. Check back with us to view the updated space!
Fain House
The Fain’s purchased their modern Memorial Park home in early 2018, when they called on ODEN HOUSE. They already had a large amount of eclectic pieces that they had gathered from their travels around the world, they wanted to incorporate their existing pieces while adding a lot of fun color to their new modern home. We really got to play with lots of fun textiles with amazing colors and patterns giving them something truly unique with one of a kind custom designs.

The Reeves’ home is an early 1900’s Arts & Crafts style home with all original windows and doors. With a new baby on the way the spare bedroom was in need of a wild transformation. For this transformation to take place all the windows were replaced the walls were treated and wallpaper happened! The wild transformation was in effect, the goal was to provide a nursery design that could grow with the baby to the wild child.
"When we moved, I was overwhelmed. Then I met Kendra. She not only had a vision for the house and found just the right things for our lifestyle, but she helped me work with what I already had. She has a knack for knowing just what you want. Knowing Kendra makes moving much easier. Suddenly, you go from moving into a new house to having a home." Suzanne Fain
"As a customer of Reeves Antiques, I was glad to learn Kendra Oden Reeves provides interior design services. Kendra has excellent vision, understands desired results, and gives excellent suggestions to add to your style, or can create a style for you from scratch. She is creative in working with a budget, and completely agnostic on sources of products. She understands the importance of a deadline. Kendra decorated my entire house and it looks amazing! I can't say enough about my positive experience." Toby Richey
“Kendra Oden was my amazing first responder. We flooded out during Harvey and lost almost everything. So we changed our lives, bought a 100 year old house in Montrose because it felt like it could be our new home. I have worked with several interior designers and they were all lovely, but, I needed something new, something very special to make all the new things feel like home. Kendra did all that and more. She was my savior for design and sanity while we did a full renovation throughout the house and all the decorating. She was magic in making everything happen smoothly. She brought joy and style to our house and took the few things we had, incorporated them with our new things and brought life back to our hearts and home. Every last detail was important as she designed our entire house and made it truly extraordinary.
Kendra always had better ideas and less expensive ideas than I had. Then, when it was important, she helped me decide where and how to spend my money for things that really mattered to get a warm but sophisticated look with a hint of new trends thrown in. Kendra also loved what we had left after the flood and was amazing at incorporating those into the new items. I asked her to help me stretch my comfort zone, just a bit, and she did that in such a fun and happy way with items that immediately became cherished items that felt like we had carefully collected them and had them for years. Kendra saved me several times from spending too much money and always had alternate ideas for a better price. Kendra helped us with literally everything. From art to rugs, paint color, appliances, hardware, faucets, bathtubs, art, furniture. We literally needed a houseful of furniture and a feeling that it was home and not just things dumped from a furniture store. Kendra saved us and gave us an elegant home that also breathes a welcoming comfortable grace as you walk through the door. Kendra helped us heal from our disaster and come home. I will be forever grateful for her hard work on our monumental project. She literally breathes joy and style. We are surrounded by her very careful and thoughtful design. I can never thank her enough."
